ISKCON ஸ்ரீரங்கம் செப்டம்பர் 17 முதல் செப்டம்பர் 23, 2023 வரை “உலகப் புனித நாம விழா” கொண்டாடுவதில் உலகின் பிற பகுதிகளுடன் இணைகிறது. இந்த விழாவில் “ஹரே கிருஷ்ணா” மகா மந்திரத்தை உச்சரிப்பதுவே ஆகும். உலக புனித நாம வாரம் என்பது, செப்டம்பர் 26, 1965 அன்று, புனித நாமத்தைப் பரப்புவதற்காக ஸ்ரீல பிரபுபாதர் அமெரிக்காவிற்கு வந்ததை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில் உருவானது. 1996 இல் இஸ்கானின் ஆளும் குழு ஆணையத்தால் இந்த கொண்டாட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

ISKCON Srirangam is joining the rest of the world in celebrating the “World Holy Name Festival” from September 17th to September 23rd, 2023. This festival involves chanting the “Hare Krishna” Maha Mantra.
The World Holy Name Week originated on September 26th, 1965, in commemoration of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in the United States to spread the Holy Name. The celebration was initiated by ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission in 1996.
Srila Prabhupada’s main aspiration was to spread the chanting of the Holy Names globally. Now, it is our opportunity to express gratitude to Srila Prabhupada and work towards his mission of spreading Harinaam far and wide, awakening dormant souls with the resonating Maha Mantra.
Let us continue the noble work of Srila Prabhupada by participating in the World Holy Name Week. Srila Prabhupada desires for you to become a blessed soul and help others do the same.
Here’s how you can contribute:
Step 1: Obtain your Sadhana Card from the Matchless Gift Shop in the Temple.
Step 2: Chant the maximum number of Rounds (repetitions of the Maha Mantra) throughout the entire week.
Step 3: Encourage others to chant as well.
Step 4: Film a short video of yourself, friends, relatives, neighbors, school friends, office mates, etc., chanting the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. Share the video with the Temple’s WhatsApp number: _______________

Ratha Yatra, The festival of Chariots, is celebrated originally in Jagannath Puri Orissa from time Immemorial. Srila Prabhupada The Founder-Acharya of ISKCON Introduced this Ratha Yatra Festival in ISKCON Centres around the world. The First Ratha Yatra was held in 1976 in San Francisco. Srila Prabhupada said, “If you participate in these Chariot festivals and see the deities riding on these chariots you will go back home back to godhead at the end of this life”. To give this opportunity to everyone in the Trichy locality ISKCON Srirangam and Trichy organizes the Ratha Yatra festival for the first time in Trichy City on 24th June 2023. This is a festival in which hundreds of devout pilgrims participate every year without the consideration of caste, creed, or sect. We now wish to hold this festival in our Trichy to promote world peace & harmony.
Features of the Ratha
Our Ratha will be a blend of modern technology and ancient tradition. Despite its traditional looks, it will have the state of art features like Air brakes and a steering wheel, with very good suspension systems. The canopy of the Ratha can be moved vertically upwards or downwards to adjust the height between 12 to 18 feet. The Ratha will have 65 feet long sturdy rope on either side of it (one for men and the other for women) making it possible for about 300 persons to pull it at a time.

Radhashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of the bright fortnight (shukla paksha ashtami) in the month of Bhadra (August – September). It is a very significant festival for the devotees. Radharani is the mother of the entire universe and on this auspicious day devotees pray to Her to bless them with Krishna-bhakti.On this auspicious occasion the Deities of Sri Radha Govinda are adorned with a new dress.
The altar is decorated with brilliant, colourful flowers which spread their fragrance everywhere.In the evening, the utsava Deities of Sri Radha Govinda receive a splendid abhisheka. Devotees perform kirtanas and glorify Srimati Radharani by singing wonderful songs composed by Vaishnava Acharyas. The Deities are bathed with milk, curd, ghee, honey and jaggery water followed by juices from varieties of fruits like muskmelon, apple, watermelon, pineapple, pomegranate, orange, sweet lime, papaya, grapes, etc.
Hundreds of devotees visit the temple to witness the celebrations. An elaborate arati is performed as the devotees sing Sri Radhikastava. This is followed by the showering of different varieties of flowers. After the abhisheka, chappan bhog (56 varieties of delicacies prepared by devotees) is offered to Sri Radha Govinda. There is a discussion on the pastimes of Srimati Radharani followed by a feast prasadam for all.
Janmashtami is a grand celebration to commemorate the appearance of Lord Krishna on the eighth day of the Bhadrapada month. The celebrations at ISKCON Indore revolve around the all-encompassing Lord Krishna, and Janmashtami is perhaps the biggest of them all. ISKCON Janmashtami celebration happens all across the world with great Devotion.
Though unborn and eternal, the Supreme Lord, of His free will and causeless mercy, incarnates to deliver the pious and annihilate the miscreants. Lord Krishna appeared as the son of Vasudeva and Devaki, but had His childhood pastimes at Gokula, Vrindavan.Janmashtami is celebrated very gorgeously in Indore.
The Bhagavatam classes focus on the transcendental tattva, janma and karma of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. On the eve of Janmashtami, an adhivasa ceremony is performed in the evening to invoke auspiciousness and help devotees prepare themselves for the next day’s festival.
